My Introduction....

Hello There! First i want to thank you for checking out my page. I hope to show you some of my photography for simple viewing pleasure and maybe more. I can start out with how i got into photography...I named my Blog Nathan Stahly By Photography becuase i believe that photography has changed me and has given me somthing to work hard at and accomplish. so viewing my photography i hope you get to know me a little better as well.

When i was in HighSchool we had a photography class. it was a short semister class that you could only take once, but this guy found his way into photography class about 3 times a day for a year or two. In these classes i learned how to roll my own film, develope my negitives, print and develope my pictures in a darkroom. We were givin daily assaingments on differnt methods of photography. this sparked my passion for photo taking and here we are today.
With luck and planning i was able to get my first DSLR camera. I ordered the Nikon D50 and assorted lenses. at first i started just snapping off photos that looked decent then i put effort into my photos and in my mind i started to grow. I have started to learn PhotoShop CS2 and that has helped greatly with my post processing job.

I dont really have a certain style of photo that i stick to but i do prefur Black&White photos. I like the emotion that the pictures bring out. I also enjoy Portrait photos but I am just recently getting to take portraits. My other passion is motorcycle riding and when im out on the bike, it so easy to pull over and take a shot of whatever i want! sometimes i just put on my mp3 player,take my camera and my bike and just travel the country side looking for any photo opp. I travel roads I'v never been down and go places i dont know where they lead. its enjoyable when i know i have a full day to do anything i want with my camera and my bike. this is how i have got most of my shots, just being out on the motorcycle and getting to see a good place to shoot.

Well that is mostly it for now, I am going to be the Photography at my Sister Andrea's wedding on Oct 14th,2006. this will be a great experience and i should learn alot. I have also been asked to do a couple portraits and possibly a senior portrait in the comming months.....
